Our Shindo Muso Ryu Jojutsu group just returned from a week-long Gasshuku (intensive training aka Shugyo) in Denton, TX. SMR Jojutsu is a 400 plus year old combative martial art form that includes long and short stick, sword fencing, and other weapons such as sickle and chain, sword breaker, and war fan. Attendees came from Texas, Oregon, Washington DC, Canada, Mississippi, and Nevada. We meet annually for these Shugyo to build our skills in old flow schools of martial arts.
