Congratulations to James and Jose on their promotion to Ikkyu. Ikkyu in the Tomiki Ryu is one short step away from Shodan so even though it is a kyu rank, it has meaning as the last step before putting on the hakama. We look forward to promoting both these gentlemen to Yudansha, a life-goal that many wish for but few actually achieve.
